On June 15th, 14 volunteers participated in a charitable event, providing brunch for approximately 40 families residing at the Ronald McDonald House Charities located in New Hyde Park. This facility accommodates families with children undergoing treatment for cancer and other pediatric illnesses. The volunteer team meticulously planned the menu and purchased the necessary supplies prior to the event.

On the day of the event, all participants convened at 9:00 AM and were assigned to various stations to facilitate the preparation of approximately 45 meal boxes by 11:00 AM. Demonstrating exceptional enthusiasm and teamwork, the volunteers also engaged in meaningful interactions with the families. 

The event concluded with a facility tour, during which the facility contact elaborated on McDonald's charitable contributions derived from Happy Meal sales. Overall, the experience proved to be both humbling and fulfilling for the volunteer! Here are some pictures of the event!

Our running group, now 200+ members strong, came together to celebrate our second annual Founders Day on Saturday, May 24, 2025 with a fantastic picnic filled with great food, fun games, and vibrant social connections.

This community continues to grow—not just in numbers, but in spirit, friendship, and a shared purpose. Days like this remind us why we started and how far we’ve come.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped organize and showed up to make it special. Here’s to many more miles, smiles, and memories together!

Annual Celebration 2024

An invitation-only event was scheduled on September 14, 2024  to honor the achievements of IARC run/walk community members. Attendance were capped at the first 90 individuals. Invitations were allocated based on the subsequent criteria, with any event occurring between September 2023 and August 2024 considered:

We work hard and party harder!! The IARC annual party at a popular rooftop bar this past summer was one of a kind. We recognized milestones and achievements, ate sumptuously and boogied the night away!

Color Run 2024

The turnout at our Annual IARC Color Run was outstanding! We celebrated with throwing Holi colors on each other followed by a sumptuous picnic made possible by our wonderful volunteers! We look forward to celebrating this event every year!

Shore to Shore Hike 2024

IARC's very first Shore to Shore Hike was held on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Our hikers started in the wee hours of the day from Cold Spring Harbor and finishing up at Massapequa State Preserve averaging about 20 miles! This was possible by meticulous planning and hard work by our esteemed volunteers! We ended the hike on a sweet note by serving our hikers chilled ice cream!
